📖 About

Palm Jumeirah is the world's largest man-made island — a palm tree of reclaimed sand so big it's visible from space, holding villas, five-star resorts and, at its crown, the Atlantis hotels. You don't need a resort booking to enjoy it: the island is free to explore, and the monorail ride down the trunk is an attraction in itself.

The Pointe is the island's social heart — a waterfront promenade of 80+ restaurants and cafés looking directly across the water at Atlantis The Palm. After sunset it stages the Palm Fountain, recognised as the world's largest fountain, with free water-light-music shows every 30 minutes in the evening. It's the best free show in Dubai after the Dubai Fountain.

Also on the island: the boardwalk along the outer crescent, Al Ittihad Park's shaded running track, West Beach for a casual swim, and The View observation deck at Palm Tower if you want to see the palm shape from 240 metres up.

⭐ Highlights

  • Palm Fountain shows at The Pointe — free, every evening
  • Straight-on views of Atlantis The Palm across the bay
  • Palm Monorail ride down the island's trunk
  • 80+ waterfront restaurants from casual to fine dining
  • Boardwalk and West Beach for sunset walks

💡 Insider Tips

  • Time dinner for after dark so you catch several fountain shows from your table.
  • The monorail is not covered by metro Nol cards — buy a separate ticket (cheaper online).
  • For the aerial palm-shape photo, book The View at The Palm or a helicopter tour — you can't see the shape from the ground.
  • Weekend evenings get busy; book waterfront tables in advance.
