Souk Al Bahar Bridge
The Burj Khalifa + fountain shot everyone wants — this is where you take it
Night reflections of the Downtown towers on still canal water — a photographers' secret
While the crowds fight for rail space at the fountain, photographers in the know walk ten minutes south to the Business Bay canal — where the Burj Khalifa and the tower wall of Downtown double themselves in the still water of the Dubai Water Canal after dark.
The Marasi Drive promenade offers kilometres of quiet boardwalk, moored yachts for foreground, lit bridges (the twisting pedestrian bridge is a subject in itself), and virtually zero foot traffic on weeknights. Long exposures here produce the cleanest skyline reflections in the city.
By day it's a pleasant waterfront run; by night it's a free open-air studio. Bring a tripod, wait for the wind to drop, and take home the shot most visitors never knew existed.
