Louvre Abu Dhabi
A rain of light beneath a floating dome — the Louvre's first outpost abroad
White sand, protected dunes and nesting turtles — the UAE's most beautiful beach
Saadiyat is the beach the postcards undersell: a long crescent of genuinely white, squeaky sand meeting clear Gulf water, backed not by towers but by protected dunes crossed on a timber boardwalk. Hawksbill turtles nest here — sections rope off in season — and dolphins pass offshore often enough to be unremarkable.
The public beach section runs orderly and uncrowded (capacity-managed entry keeps it that way), with loungers, showers and a café. Either side stretch the beach clubs and resort sands of the island's hotel row for those wanting the serviced version.
The water has more movement than the city beaches — real (small) waves, which is either the appeal or the caveat depending on your swimmers. It is, by broad consensus, the finest natural beach in the Emirates.
