Khor Fakkan Beach

Kayak to your own snorkelling islet off Khor Fakkan's bay
The islet guarding Khor Fakkan's bay — named for its fin-like profile, not its residents — offers the adventure-flavoured version of east-coast snorkelling: kayak out from the beach, beach the boat on the islet's shingle, and work the rocky fringes where coral heads, reef fish and the odd turtle traffic run.
It's less "site" than mini-expedition, which is its charm: your own island for a morning, the amphitheatre and mountains as the shoreline view, and the paddle back timed for lunch on the corniche.
