Wadi Saham
Crystal pools in polished rock — the canyoning wadi of the east coast
The old Dibba road — a wild wadi drive-and-walk through forgotten country
Before the highway, traffic to Dibba wound through Wadi Tayyibah — and when the new road opened, this valley simply fell off the map: old tarmac fragments and gravel track descending through palm clusters, abandoned hamlets, falaj lines and rock pools, in scenery the speeding bypass never sees.
Now it's the connoisseur's detour: drive-and-wander terrain where every stop offers terraces to poke around, and the silence of a route the world forgot. Remote enough to demand self-sufficiency; rewarding enough to justify it.
