📖 About

Al Rafisah pools green mountain water behind a dam wall just above Khor Fakkan, and Sharjah turned its shoreline into the east coast's favourite pit stop: kayak and pedal-boat rentals on the reservoir, a waterfront rest house with karak and grills, lawns, playgrounds and a floating walkway.

The Al Rabi hiking trail climbs from here — a marked ridge route with bay-and-mountain panoramas — and the drowned-valley scenery photographs like a Nordic fjord that took a wrong turn.

Sunset is its hour: the dam faces west up the wadi, the water goes molten, and the free viewpoint terraces fill with families who know.

⭐ Highlights

  • Kayaking on an emerald mountain reservoir
  • Al Rabi trailhead — the east coast's best marked hike
  • Waterfront rest house and lawns
  • Free entry, sunset terraces
  • Five minutes from Khor Fakkan beach

💡 Insider Tips

  • Rent kayaks before 4 PM; the counter closes ahead of the park.
  • The Al Rabi trail wants proper shoes and 2–3 daylight hours.
  • Weekday visits have the water to themselves.
  • Stack beach + dam + Wadi Shis for the complete enclave day.
