The Mountain of Women — fossils at 2,000 metres and rock art on the way
The most photographed view in Musandam — that few actually drive to
The image that sells Musandam — a hairpin gravel road coiling down cliffs to a mirror-still inlet — is Khor Najd, and the viewpoint above it delivers that exact frame: the khor's silver sweep, mountains stacked behind, your own vehicle optional in the foreground for scale.
It's the only fjord you can reach by road, which makes the descent (steep, loose, low-gear) a mini-adventure ending at a shoreline used for fishing camps and kayak put-ins. Most cruise-day visitors never make it here; the 💎 belongs to those who do.
