📖 About
The DDCR is the UAE's first national park: 225 square kilometres of protected dunes — nearly 5% of the emirate — managed for conservation since 2003. This is where Dubai reintroduced the Arabian oryx, and where the desert looks the way it did before the city existed.
Entry is restricted to a shortlist of licensed operators, which is precisely its appeal: vehicle numbers are capped, dune-bashing is banned in favour of gentle wildlife drives, and experiences lean premium — falconry at dawn, camel treks, vintage Land Rover safaris and Bedouin-style dinners under the stars.
If the mass-market safari camps are Dubai's desert theme park, the DDCR is its national gallery. Pay the extra; the silence is the product.
