📖 About

Endurance City is the headquarters of the UAE's signature equestrian sport: 100+ kilometre desert horse races that start in the dark and run through the day, with riders — often including Dubai's ruling family — looping through checkpoints in the open desert.

For visitors it's two things. On winter event weekends, it's a free spectacle unlike anything else: hundreds of horses, support crews and helicopters chasing across the sands from before dawn. The rest of the time, its perimeter trails and the connecting Al Qudra loops offer the quietest desert cycling in Dubai — long, flat, silent tracks where gazelles outnumber riders.

Rent a bike at the Al Qudra cycle path trailhead and ride out this way in the early morning: crisp air, oryx silhouettes, and tarmac so empty it feels rented for you.

⭐ Highlights

  • HQ of world-class desert endurance horse racing
  • Free access to winter race-day spectacles
  • The quietest stretches of the Al Qudra cycle network
  • Dawn wildlife along the trails — oryx, gazelle, desert fox
  • Bike rentals available at the Al Qudra trailhead

💡 Insider Tips

  • Race days start before sunrise — arrive in the dark to see the mass start under floodlights.
  • Cycling: carry two bottles minimum; there's no water once you leave the trailhead.
  • Give horses wide, quiet clearance on shared stretches — no bells, no sudden passes.
  • Winter weekend mornings the main Qudra loop gets busy; the Endurance City side stays empty.
