Jumeirah Mosque
Dubai's most beautiful mosque — and the one that opens its doors to everyone
Where the UAE was born — the story of 1971, told brilliantly
On 2 December 1971, seven emirates signed a piece of paper and became a country. The Etihad Museum stands on the exact spot — beside the preserved Union House — and tells that founding story with the polish of a world-class institution: original documents, film, interactive maps and the personal effects of the founding rulers.
The building itself is a statement: a swooping white pavilion shaped like the manuscript of the constitution, pierced by seven golden columns representing the pens that signed it. Below ground, eight galleries walk you from the pre-union Trucial States through the negotiations, the signing, and the country that followed.
For visitors it's the missing context for everything else you'll see in the UAE — an hour here explains the flags, the portraits, the pride. Quietly one of the best museums in the Gulf.
